NAUJAN, Oriental Mindoro — The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) MIMAROPA has announced its Youth Internship Program on Organic Agriculture (YIPOA) for the 2025-2026 cycle, targeting young residents aged 18-35 in the MIMAROPA region.

The program aims to foster appreciation for organic farming practices while promoting sustainable agricultural entrepreneurship among youth in Mimaropa.

Prospective interns must submit a comprehensive application package including government-issued identification, a notarized commitment statement to pursue organic agriculture, and a business proposal.

Two recommendation letters from community leaders such as barangay captains, parish priests, or school principals are also required.

Selected candidates must provide proof of good health through a medical certificate upon shortlisting.

The program requires participants to be free of conditions such as hypertension, heart problems, asthma, or psychological disorders.

Participating farms must meet strict criteria, including organic certification through the Participatory Guarantee System or Third-Party certification, preferably LSA-certified.

Farms must demonstrate at least one year of operations and provide accommodation for a minimum of two interns during the nine-month program period.

Center Director Pat Andrew B. Barrientos will receive applications through email or in person at the ATI-RTC MIMAROPA office in Barcenaga, Naujan.

Applications require a letter of intent and supporting documentation as outlined in the program guidelines.

The internship is part of government’s efforts to promote organic agriculture and create sustainable farming opportunities for the next generation of agricultural entrepreneurs.

Interested candidates can find detailed application requirements and program information through the institute’s official FB page.
