Mindoro Police Arrest Drug Dealer Suspect, Wanted Person in Separate Operations

Police authorities conducted two separate law enforcement operations on December 13-14, 2024, resulting in the arrest of a drug suspect and a wanted person, the PNP has reported.

In a drug bust operation on December 14, 2024, at approximately 3:10PM, joint law enforcement elements from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Magsaysay Municipal Police Station, Regional Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 4B conducted an anti-illegal drugs operation in Sitio Talaba, Barangay Poblacion, Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro.

The operation led to the arrest of a suspect identified by the alias “Makmak”, a 39-year-old unemployed male resident of Bagong Silang, Barangay San Roque, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

Police seized one small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing what is believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu”.

The evidence inventory was conducted at the operation site in the presence of the suspect and witnesses. The suspect and seized evidence were subsequently brought to the Magsaysay Municipal Police Station for processing.

In a separate operation on December 13, 2024, at 4:00PM, police elements from Magsaysay Municipal Police Station and Makati City’s Station 2 Southern Police District arrested a wanted person identified by the alias “Nery”.

The 36-year-old female suspect, a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Magsaysay, was arrested on a warrant issued by Judge Rico Sebastian Liwanag of the National Capital Region, Branch 136, Makati City. The warrant, dated December 12, 2024, was for the crime of qualified theft, with a recommended bail of P80,000.

The operations were led by Police Captain Renante A. Abordo, Officer-in-Charge of the Magsaysay Municipal Police Station.
