SABLAYAN, OCCIDENTAL MINDORO: In revolutionizing the agricultural sector, Kubota Philippines, in partnership with Greenground Rapid Agri-Business Machineries, recently showcased its cutting-edge drone farming technology in a successful demo held in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.

The event saw the potential of the Kubota T10 and T30 drones to transform modern farming practices, offering enhanced efficiency, precision, and sustainability.

The demo, which was attended by Mindoreño farmers, agricultural experts, and representatives from the government, provided a comprehensive overview of the features and capabilities of the Kubota T10 and T30 drones.

Developed in collaboration with DJI, these drones are specifically designed for aerial spraying and precision agriculture, addressing the growing need for sustainable farming solutions.

One of the key features of the Kubota T10 and T30 drones is their robust design, which utilizes carbon fiber composite materials to ensure durability while keeping the weight manageable. (screengrab during the drone demo)

The T30 drone also boasts a one-key locking arm design that reduces its volume by 80% when folded, making transportation and storage more convenient.

In terms of spraying capabilities, the T30 drone has a tank capacity of 30 liters, a payload capacity of up to 40 kilograms, and 16 nozzles with a spray range of up to 9 meters. This enables it to cover approximately 16.19 hectares per hour.

The T10 drone, on the other hand, has a tank capacity of 8 liters, a spray width of up to 5 meters, and can cover approximately 6.07 hectares per hour.

Both drones are equipped with a dual FPV camera system that enhances visibility and reduces blind spots, significantly improving operational safety during flights.

They also feature a spherical radar system that scans the surroundings in all environments and weather conditions, ensuring safety during operation.

The Kubota T10 and T30 drones integrate with the Smart Agriculture Cloud Platform, allowing users to conduct cloud-based mapping of agricultural fields. This platform incorporates artificial intelligence system for monitoring growth, identifying pests or diseases, and optimizing agricultural conditions, thereby enhancing decision-making processes.

The updated remote controller for both drones supports stable image transmission over distances of up to 5 kilometers and features a 5.5-inch high-brightness screen, ensuring clear visibility even in bright sunlight.

Additionally, a single remote controller can operate multiple drones simultaneously, increasing operational efficiency.

In terms of operational efficiency, the T10 and T30 drones come with intelligent batteries that are designed for long-term service, offering up to 1,000 charge cycles or a one-year warranty.

The smart charging hub can fully charge a battery in just 10 minutes, enabling continuous operation with minimal downtime.

The Kubota T10 and T30 drones are also designed with environmental sustainability in mind. They have an IP67 rating (excluding the battery), providing protection against dust and moisture, and their design supports the use of liquid fertilizers, contributing to environmentally friendly farming practices by optimizing the application of chemicals.

According to Kubota Philippines, the T10 and T30 drones are poised to play a crucial role in modernizing farming practices and addressing the challenges of food production in a rapidly changing world.

“We are committed to providing innovative solutions that enhance the efficiency and sustainability of agricultural operations,” said a spokesperson for Kubota Philippines. “Our drones are designed to help farmers increase their yields, reduce their environmental impact, and improve their bottom line.”

The successful demo in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro, signals the promising adoption of drone farming technology in the Philippines.

With the current challenges of food security and sustainable agriculture, the Kubota T10 and T30 drones offer a promising solution for farmers, agricultural experts, and LGU policymakers.

With their advanced features, integrated technology, and focus on environmental sustainability, the Kubota T10 and T30 drones are set to revolutionize the agricultural sector in Mindoro provinces.
