Occidental Mindoro State College (OMSC) plans to implement three major infrastructure projects in 2026 totaling P312.4 million, college president Elbert C. Edaniol has announced.
In his State of College Address, Edaniol announced the construction of a P150-million auditorium and a P102.4-million medical and dental facility at the Main Campus in San Jose, as well as a P60-million, 10-classroom academic building at the San Jose Campus.
From 2021 to 2025, OMSC completed infrastructure projects worth nearly P190 million, including a new administration building, additional academic buildings, a learning research center, and a library complex, among other facilities.
Edaniol said the college would also expand academic offerings through Open and Distance e-Learning (ODEL), the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP), and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC).
He added that OMSC had submitted all required documents to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for conversion to university status and would continue to monitor the application.
OMSC, a state college established in 1966, operates six campuses in San Jose, Lubang, Mamburao and Sablayan in Occidental Mindoro.
