Anti-narcotics agents arrested three suspected drug dealers and dismantled a drug den in Socorro on Wednesday, confiscating methamphetamine, also known as shabu, with an estimated street value of P54,400, authorities said.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Oriental Mindoro said the arrests were made during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Matungao, conducted jointly with Socorro police station.

The suspects were identified as Jerrel, 32; Marlon, 33; and Joy, 33.

All are unemployed residents of the barangay and are classified as high-value targets, PDEA said.

PDEA agents seized approximately eight grams of suspected “shabu” along with drug paraphernalia.

PDEA said the suspects will face charges under the country’s Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, including drug possession and maintaining a drug den.
