The local government unit of Pola, Oriental Mindoro is offering passport application and renewal services directly to residents through the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) “Passport on Wheels” program, eliminating the need for residents to travel to DFA offices.
The program, secured through efforts by Mayor Jennifer “Ina Alegre” Cruz, will serve the first 500 applicants on a first-come, first-served basis.
Slots are being distributed from Oct. 6-8, 2025 at Pola’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO).
The mobile service accepts both new applications and renewals for adults and minors.
Applicants will not need to appear at a DFA office, with completed passports delivered door-to-door via LBC within one month or earlier.
The program costs P1,200 pesos for DFA processing and P150 pesos for delivery service.
Payment details will be announced separately.
Application forms are available at the PESO Office.
Officials cautioned residents to only secure slots if they are certain about applying to ensure services reach those who need them.
Mayor Cruz said she wants to improve access to passport services for Pola residents, sparing them the time and expense of traveling to regional DFA offices.
