High-Value Drug Suspect Arrested in Socorro, Oriental Mindoro

Law enforcement agents arrested a high-value drug suspect Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Matungao, Socorro, Oriental Mindoro, officials said.

The suspect, identified only as “Allan,” 45, a caterer and Socorro resident, was caught selling one gram of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) with an estimated street value of P6,800 pesos, according to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

The operation was conducted by PDEA Oriental Mindoro in coordination with PDEA MIMAROPA Regional Special Enforcement Team, PDEA Special Investigation Unit Calapan, the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 4, and the Socorro Municipal Drug Enforcement Team.

Allan faces charges under Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which covers the sale of illegal drugs.
