A 43-year-old woman who went missing in Occidental Mindoro earlier this week has been found dead, her family confirmed on Wednesday.

Maria Rowena Javier, known as “Wheng,” was nine months pregnant when she was last seen around 4 a.m. on Aug. 18, 2025 in San Jose town, according to relatives.

She was wearing a white shirt and physical education pants from San Jose National High School when she disappeared.

Her family announced her death in a Facebook post and expressed gratitude to people who shared information and helped in the search.

“Nakikiramay po kami sa pamilya, lalo na sa kanyang anak,” a post from relatives read.

Authorities have yet to release details about the circumstances surrounding Javier’s death.
