Oriental Mindoro is on round-the-clock monitoring operations as rainy weather conditions persist across the province, causing power interruptions in three municipalities and widespread cancellation of sea transport services as of Saturday morning, July 19, 2025.
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) reported at 11:00 AM that fastcraft vessel trips have been suspended at Calapan Port, while all trips from Recodo Port in Pinamalayan, Roxas Port, and Bulalacao Port have been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions caused by Typhoon Crising.
Power supply has been disrupted in Puerto Galera, Mansalay, and Pinamalayan, though telecommunications and water services remain unaffected throughout the province, according to the latest status report.
Despite the weather disturbances, all roads and bridges across Oriental Mindoro remain passable, with no reported incidents of vehicular crashes, fires, or flooding as of the morning update.
River monitoring conducted at 6:30 AM showed all major waterways – including Bucayao River, Panggalaan River, and Longos River in Calapan, as well as Alag River in Baco – maintaining normal levels with no flood threats detected.
The Provincial DRRM Operations Center has been placed under White Alert status, with personnel maintaining standby duty and continuous monitoring of conditions across the province.
Weather forecasters describe current conditions as “rainy weather condition” with overcast skies and intermittent precipitation affecting various areas of the province.
Provincial officials assured residents that all essential services remain operational despite the weather-related disruptions, with authorities closely monitoring developments to ensure public safety and swift response to any emerging situations.
