Ferry Service Expands Mindoro Routes from Semirara Island

MV Ma. Cristina-1 has launched expanded ferry services connecting Semirara Island to top Mindoro destinations, with daily routes to San Jose and Bulalacao beginning this week.

The vessel operates daily services to San Jose, Mindoro on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, departing Semirara at 6:30 AM and arriving at 9:00 AM.

Return trips leave San Jose at 3:30 PM, reaching Semirara by 6:00 PM.

A weekly service to Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro operates every Thursday, following the same morning departure schedule from Semirara at 6:30 AM with arrival at 8:00 AM. The return journey departs Bulalacao at 3:30 PM.

The ferry service also maintains routes to Caluya and Buruanga on Mondays and Fridays, completing a circuit that includes stops at both destinations before returning to Semirara.

Mayor Rigil Kent G. Lim and Semirara Mining and Power Corporation have been credited with supporting the move to improve inter-island connectivity.

The operator advises passengers that schedules may change without prior notice due to weather conditions.

No advance ticket reservations are accepted, and travelers are encouraged to check the vessel’s Facebook page for updates and travel advisories.
