Three individuals have been arrested in what police describe as a successful antil-illegal drug operation in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro on Sunday.

The joint operation was conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Oriental Mindoro Provincial Office alongside several enforcement units including the Calapan City Drug Enforcement Unit.

The suspects – identified only by their aliases Mona, 59, Girly, 55, and Mark, 41 – were apprehended at an area in Barangay Tibag allegedly used for drug transactions.

Authorities seized what they believe to be approximately 6 grams of methamphetamine, locally known as “shabu,” with an estimated value of P40,800.

PDEA authorities said the suspects were caught “in the act” at premises allegedly used for both drug sales and consumption.

PDEA said the three will face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
