A newly concreted farm-to-market road is bringing benefits to agricultural villages in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.

Farmers and residents in Brgy. Metolza, Naujan now enjoy improved access to markets following the completion of a concrete farm-to-market road.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Mindoro Oriental District Engineering Office successfully delivered the infrastructure project.

According to District Engineer Salvador E. Abad’s report to DPWH MIMAROPA Regional Director Gerald A. Pacanan, the road project features a two-lane road stretching 579.57 linear meters with drainage channels designed to prevent flooding.

The project includes open lined canals and water crossings positioned to manage water flow from the existing river.

Officials report the improved infrastructure has reduced travel time to 20-30 minutes, benefiting approximately 150-200 daily road users, including farmers and Naujan residents.
