Kenn Rovikk Estacio Logdat, a 22-year-old from Gloria, Oriental Mindoro, has clinched the top spot in the November 2024 Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination, achieving an outstanding 90.90% rating.
A magna cum laude graduate from the University of the Philippines Diliman, Logdat emerged as the leading candidate among 951 examinees nationwide, with 688 successfully passing the rigorous licensure test.
“Your success is a testament to your hard work, dedication, and excellence,” said Gloria Mayor German “Bitoy” D. Rodegerio in a Facebook post. “You have brought immense pride to our community and the entire province of Mindoro.”
Logdat’s academic journey began at Bansud National High School’s Regional Science High School for MIMAROPA, where he laid the foundation for his remarkable achievement.
Both of his parents, Roderick B. Logdat and Victoria E. Logdat, are certified public accountants who supported his educational pursuits.
The UP Chemical Engineering Society celebrated Logdat’s achievement, saying, “A special commendation goes to Engr. Kenn Rovikk Estacio Logdat for achieving the top 1 place in the examination—a testament to his exceptional brilliance and hard work!”
Bansud National High School also expressed pride in their alumnus, declaring, “We are thrilled to announce that one of our esteemed alumni has achieved remarkable success by topping the recent Chemical Engineers Licensure Examination!”
The Professional Regulation Commission announced the examination results on Tuesday, revealing a 72.34% pass rate for the November 2024 Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination.
The UP Diliman Chemical Engineering Department proudly noted that Logdat was not only the top performer individually but also represented their institution’s academic excellence.
“Congratulations to all the chemical engineering licensure passers, especially to our alumni!” the department said. “Padayon mga bagong Inhinyero ng Bayan!” (Onward, new engineers of the nation!)
