The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will deploy a two-day mobile service caravan to Naujan, Oriental Mindoro town on November 16-17, 2024, offering driver’s licensing services to approximately 350 residents.
The program, to be held at the Barangay Antipolo covered court, is expected to improve access to transportation services in rural areas and boost compliance with national traffic regulations.
“This brings essential services directly to our constituents,” Naujan Mayor Henry Joel Teves said in a statement, describing the partnership between his municipality, LTO, and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
Services will include student permit applications with free theoretical driving courses for residents aged 16 and above, as well as driver’s license renewals.
Applicants must provide government-issued identification and undergo medical examinations.
For student permit applications, residents must be at least 16 years old and present their Philippine Statistics Authority birth certificate or national ID. Married women need to provide marriage certificates. Applicants must pay for medical examinations, permit fees, and optional blood typing.
License renewal applicants must submit their original and photocopied driver’s licenses along with proof of passing the Comprehensive Driver’s Education online validation exam. Renewal fees and applicable penalties will be charged.
Pre-registration opened Monday at the Municipal Tourism Office and will continue through November 8.
