Authorities arrested a top drug suspect in a buy-bust operation in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro the other day.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified the suspect as Alexi Zamora Goda, 38, unemployed, from Barangay Malad in Calapan City.

Goda was listed as one of the top seven drug targets in the MIMAROPA region.

PDEA Oriental Mindoro Provincial Office led the operation, supported by other law enforcement units including the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

Officials said Goda sold a small plastic sachet of suspected methamphetamine to an undercover agent before his arrest.

Authorities confiscated six additional plastic sachets containing traces of the suspected drug.

Goda is in PDEA custody. Charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared.
