Naujan Bares Schedule for September Town Fiesta

The municipality of Naujan, Oriental Mindoro has announced its schedule of activities for the 2024 San Nicolas de Tolentino Town Fiesta, set to run from September 1-10, 2024.

The festivities will begin with daily novena masses at SNDT Parish from September 1-9. Key events include:

  • Sept. 5: Kick-off parade (7-8 a.m.) and Zumba dance fitness (5-7 p.m.)
  • Sept. 6: Unity fun run (4-5 a.m.) and “Palaro ng Lahi” traditional games (8-11 a.m.)
  • Sept. 7: Bikathon (8-11 a.m.)
  • Sept. 8: Agro Trade Fair opening (9 a.m.) and “Binibining Naujan” beauty pageant (7 p.m.)
  • Sept. 9: Mass blood donation (8 a.m.), procession of San Nicolas (5:30 p.m.), and “Parangal Kay San Nicolas” tribute (8 p.m.)
  • Sept. 10: Grand parade (7:30 a.m.), drum and lyre exhibition (8:30 a.m.), and “Big Night” celebration (7 p.m.)

Mayor Henry Joel C. Teves, Vice Mayor Great M. Delos Reyes, and Hermano Mayor Dominic G. Teves are spearheading the event. The organizers promise “big surprises” for attendees throughout the celebration.

The fiesta honors San Nicolas de Tolentino, Naujan’s patron saint, and aims to showcase Naujan culture and foster community spirit.

The company’s entry into news media is not surprising, as its founder and CEO, Romel “Direk” Bernardo, was a television writer, producer, and director for over 15 years. From 2002 to 2007, he served as a researcher, writer, and producer for GMA-7’s top-rating show Imbestigador before becoming the executive producer for ABS-CBN’s award-winning documentary program, The Correspondents.
