    Oriental Mindoro electricity rates drop by over P1 per kWh in December 2025

    Residential electricity rates in Oriental Mindoro dropped by more than one peso per kilowatt-hour this month, bringing relief to consumers ahead of the holiday season.

    The Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (ORMECO) announced the December 2025 unbundling of rates, with the overall residential electricity rate falling to P13.4591 per kWh from P14.5165 per kWh in November, a decrease of P1.0574 per kWh.

    The electricity generation rate stands at P8.9092 per kWh, broken down into three priority dispatch tiers.

    First priority dispatch generation ranges from P5.64 to P5.90 per kWh, while second priority is P7.39 per kWh.

    Last priority dispatch emergency power generation ranges from P18.38 to P76.41 per kWh.

    Other charges include the system loss charge at P1.4032 per kWh, distribution/supply/metering charge at P1.7740 per kWh, and government taxes and other charges at P1.5165 per kWh.

    According to the rate chart, electricity prices have fluctuated throughout the year, peaking at P16.45 per kWh in November 2024 and reaching their lowest point at P12.54 per kWh in January 2025.
