Flooding Reported in 5 Oriental Mindoro Towns

Continuous heavy rainfall from a low-pressure area has caused flooding in several barangays in five towns in Oriental Mindoro as of Dec. 8, 2025.

The following barangays were reported flooded as of 11:30 a.m., according to the Provincial Information Office:

Naujan: Adrialuna, Bagong Buhay, Pinagsabangan II, Barcenaga, Santiago.

Victoria: Mabini, Bagong Buhay 2, Urdaneta, Malabo.

Mansalay: Wasig, Villa Celestial, Roma, Balugo, Sta. Brigida.

Roxas: Bagumbayan, Cantil, Paclasan, San Isidro, Dangay, San Jose, Libtong, San Aquilino, Victoria, Odiong, Libertad, Uyao, San Mariano, San Vicente, Happy Valley, Maraska, Mabuhay, San Rafael, Little Tanauan, San Miguel.

Bongabong: Malitbog, Libertad, Hagan, Sagana, Camantigue, Ogbot, Mapang, Dayhagan, San Isidro, Labasan.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, led by Officer Vinscent B. Gahol, is coordinating with municipal disaster units to monitor the situation and ensure resident safety.

Ferry operations between Calapan and Batangas City remain operational.

Residents are urged to exercise caution.
