Employee from Mindoro to Receive Dangal ng Lahi Award

A government employee from Oriental Mindoro will be honored as “Most Significant Woman of Public Service and Humanitarian Advocate of the Year” at the 9th annual Dangal ng Lahi Awards, organizers announced.

Shiela Butch Dimaculangan, who works in San Teodoro LGU in Oriental Mindoro, will receive the prestigious recognition at a ceremony scheduled for December 6, 2025, at the Supreme Hotel in Baguio City.

The Dangal ng Lahi Awards recognizes outstanding Filipinos who have demonstrated exceptional service to the public.

The awards program has been running annually since 2017, celebrating individuals from various fields including public service, business, and humanitarian work.

The citation specifically recognizes Dimaculangan’s dedication to public service and humanitarian advocacy, though specific details of her work were not immediately available.

The December ceremony in Baguio City, the country’s summer capital, is expected to draw other awardees and government officials.
