The Occidental Mindoro provincial board has formally recognized Mindoreño radio personality Brenda Dais Valera, known on-air as “Kendi Ririt,” for bringing national honor to the province after winning the Best Radio Disc Jockey award at the 28th KBP Golden Dove Awards.
Resolution No. 200, authored by board member Roderick Agas, congratulated Valera of 101.7 Radyo Natin for her outstanding achievement in the country’s most prestigious broadcasting recognition program.
The Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) annually confers the Golden Dove Awards to recognize excellence in Philippine broadcasting, honoring outstanding individuals and programs across radio and television.
According to the resolution, Valera’s award reflects not only her “exceptional talent, dedication, and impact on Philippine radio broadcasting” but also showcases “world-class talent” from Occidental Mindoro in mass communication.
The provincial lawmakers noted that Valera’s “engaging voice, deep connection with the listening public, and sincere advocacy for community service” have made her a trusted and beloved figure among radio audiences.
Board members noted that her recognition serves as inspiration to aspiring broadcasters in the province while affirming the importance of media in promoting education, culture, entertainment, and public service.
The KBP Golden Dove Awards remain the broadcasting industry’s highest honor, celebrating programs and personalities that demonstrate excellence in Filipino radio and television programming.
