The local government of Naujan has distributed relief goods to 2,982 household beneficiaries on Sunday — the second wave of assistance for families affected by recent flooding.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) led the distribution, supported by various municipal office personnel and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

Mayor Henry Joel C. Teves ordered the relief operation, which distributed goods sourced from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the local government.

The assistance reached 25 barangays across the municipality, with Barangay Barcenaga receiving the largest share at 389 households, followed by San Andres with 333 households and San Pedro with 250 households.

Other beneficiary barangays included General Esco (129 households), Tigkan (128 households), Bagong Buhay (115 households), Mahabang Parang (110 households), Sampaguita (172 households), Adrialuna (165 households), and Malinao (160 households).

Smaller distributions went to San Nicolas and Inarawan with 11 households each, Bancuro with 2 households, and San Agustin 1 with 7 households.

The municipal government said relief distribution will continue for other barangays severely affected by the flooding.

Household counts per barangay were based on reports submitted by barangay officials to the municipal office or MSWDO, according to the MDRRMO.
