Bus and truck collide in Mamburao crash

Two vehicles collided in Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro, injuring several people on Sunday morning.

The accident occurred at approximately 8AM in Sitio Mabuhay, Barangay Tayamaan, when a passenger bus travelling from San Jose to Manila collided with a fish truck returning from Abra de Ilog to San Jose.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) transported two people to hospital, including the truck’s driver and conductor, who sustained injuries in the crash.

Provincial disaster response officers provided first aid to bus passengers who suffered minor injuries at the scene.

The bus was carrying 49 passengers at the time of the collision.

Mamburao PNP is investigating the cause of the accident.

No fatalities have been reported.

The incident has caused temporary disruption to traffic in the area while emergency services cleared the scene.
