Decomposed Body Found Wrapped in Black Cloth in Sablayan

Authorities are investigating the discovery of a decomposed male body found wrapped in black cloth and dumped in a vacant lot in Barangay Tuban, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.

Barangay residents reported the discovery to authorities after detecting a foul odor and spotting the suspicious object while passing through the area.

Police suspect the victim may have been killed in a summary execution or salvage operation, though the investigation is ongoing.

The identity of the victim has not yet been established as of June 28, 2025.
