Anti-drug agents arrested a suspected high-value drug dealer and seized shabu worth more than P102,000 and a hand grenade during a buy-bust operation Monday evening, May 26, 2025.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Occidental Mindoro, working with the San Jose Municipal Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit and the Occidental Mindoro Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, conducted the operation around 6 p.m. in Sitio Maligaya, Barangay Magbay.
Authorities identified the suspect as a 45-year-old man known by the alias “Payat,” a resident of Barangay Pag-asa, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
He was listed as a high-value target, Top 2 Provincial Target, and Priority High Value Individual by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
In addition to the suspected shabu, agents recovered a hand grenade (PRB 423), drug paraphernalia and marked money used in the operation.
The total weight of seized suspected shabu reached 15 grams with an estimated street value of P102,000.
Evidence was marked and sent to the Provincial Forensic Unit for examination. The suspect faces charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and illegal possession of explosives.
