Two MIMAROPA Beaches Rank Among World’s Best for 2025

Two beaches in MIMAROPA region have secured positions on the “World’s 50 Best Beaches 2025” list, the government announced Thursday.

Entalula Beach in El Nido, Palawan, ranked No. 2, up from fourth place last year, while Bonbon Beach in Romblon rose to No. 38 from 45th position in 2024.

Entalula Beach, accessible only by boat, features limestone cliffs, clear waters and white sand. The beach is part of El Nido’s protected area, known for marine biodiversity and karst landscapes.

Bonbon Beach on Romblon’s main island is recognized for its sandbar that connects to nearby Bangug Island at low tide.

“This recognition shows the Philippines’ natural beauty and our standing as one of the world’s premier beach destinations,” said Usec. Claire Castro during a Malacaรฑan press briefing.

The Marcos administration called the achievement a boost for tourism, a strong economic driver.

The Department of Tourism reported over 5 million foreign visitors in 2024.

The annual ranking is compiled by international travel experts based on natural beauty, accessibility and unique features.

LGU officials in both provinces have committed to preserving the beaches’ conditions while managing tourism growth.
