The United Mindoro Association of Ontario (UMAO) from Canada has donated a substantial supply of medicines to support the newly constructed Baco Community Hospital in Oriental Mindoro province.

Mayor Allan Roldan personally received the donation alongside Chief of Staff Lile Kristine Escueta and Municipal Pharmacist Trixy Y. Carticiano. The handover was facilitated by UMAO Vice President Santi Hernandez and Board Director Dothy Villas.

UMAO, led by President Florence Silang, is an organization of Mindoreño expatriates and immigrants based in Ontario, Canada.

The medicines will supplement medical services provided by the local government to Baco residents, particularly as the community hospital prepares for its official opening.

LGU officials described the donation as “a step toward ensuring fast, affordable, and quality healthcare services” for the municipality.
