Four people have been arrested after authorities dismantled a suspected drug den in Mindoro island.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) officials, working alongside provincial and municipal police units, conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Payompon, Mamburao in Occidental Mindoro on Friday.

The suspects, identified only by their aliases Wendy, Reymark, Cherry and Kimberly, are all residents of the area, according to authorities.

Officials seized approximately 10 grams of what is believed to be methamphetamine, locally known as “shabu”.

The confiscated substances have an estimated value of P68,000, according to the Dangerous Drugs Board.

All four suspects will face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which imposes severe penalties for drug trafficking and possession.
