Thirty-two fishermen from San Jose, Occidental Mindoro have been safely returned to their home port after being rescued by the Philippine Coast Guard following a maritime incident off the coast of Balabac, Palawan.

The fishing vessel F/V ANDREI SARAH was stranded near Onok Island on January 29, 2025 due to engine failure and adverse weather conditions, according to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Mimaropa region.
