Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro – A recent survey conducted by Mindoro Today reveals that TINGOG is the leading choice among Pinamalayan voters who expressed their preferences for party list representation. However, the results show that only 12% of respondents named a party list, underscoring a significant level of voter indecision or lack of awareness regarding party list groups.
TINGOG topped the survey with 34 respondents selecting it as their preferred party list, reflecting its strong appeal across various sectors. The party list stands out for its active presence in the community, with an office in Pinamalayan that provides medical assistance, medicines, and burial aid to townsfolk. Represented locally by former congressional chief of staff Christine “C3” de Castro, who is now running for mayor under the Lakas-CMD party, TINGOG has built strong connections through its service programs.
Following TINGOG, FPJ Party List emerged as the second most mentioned group, garnering 20 respondents.
Other party list groups with notable mentions include:
Seniors Party List: 18 respondents
Sagip Party List: 16 respondents
Anak Kalusugan: 10 respondents
BHW (Barangay Health Workers): 5 respondents
ACT-CIS: 5 respondents
4Ps Party List: 3 respondents
Akbayan Party List: 4 respondents
Several groups received mentions from one or two respondents, including A-Teacher, Akay Ko Si Sol, SIDC, Farmers, and Kawang Gawa.
The survey highlights that while TINGOG has established a strong foothold in Pinamalayan, the overwhelming majority of respondents remain undecided or unaware of their options. This presents a challenge for party list groups to better engage and educate voters ahead of the elections.
