The suspect, identified only as “Ardee”, was detained during an undercover operation in San Vicente East, Calapan. He was allegedly caught selling methamphetamine, locally known as shabu.
The operation involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine National Police (PNP), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Officials seized approximately 0.0845 grams of suspected methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of P574 pesos.
The evidence was catalogued at the scene in the presence of local officials, including a barangay councilor, a media representative, and a DOJ personnel, before being sent to a laboratory for testing.
The suspect faces charges under the country’s Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which carries severe penalties for drug-related offences.
