Fastcat Trip Between Batangas and Calapan Suspended for Port Renovation

Major Philippine ferry operator FastCat suspended its services Tuesday between busy ports of Batangas City and Calapan City, as authorities began a month-long renovation of port facilities.

The suspension comes after a directive from the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) for rehabilitation work at the Port of Calapan.

The disruption is expected to last approximately 30 days, affecting one of the busiest maritime routes connecting Luzon’s mainland to Mindoro Island.

FastCat confirmed that its western corridor operations remain unaffected, with regular services continuing to Bulalacao, Caticlan, Dumangas, and Banago ports. These routes serve as crucial transportation links between various Philippine islands.

The company has established a dedicated customer service hotline (8831-5212) operating weekdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM to address passenger concerns during the disruption.

Passengers are advised to monitor FastCat’s social media platforms for updates on service resumption.
