A government administrative assistant was arrested Thursday (Nov. 7, 2024) in a drug enforcement operation in Occidental Mindoro province, authorities said.
Reymond Sari, 34, was apprehended in Brgy. Payompon, Mamburao during a joint operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Mamburao PNP.
Agents seized three plastic sachets containing suspected methamphetamine weighing 1.22 grams, with an estimated street value of P8,290 pesos, according to PDEA officials.
Authorities plan to charge Sari under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
He remains in custody pending formal charges.
The arrest was carried out by the PDEA Occidental Mindoro office in coordination with Mamburao police and the national police drug enforcement group.
