CALAPAN CITY – The Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro has extended the registration deadline for the 2024 Oriental Mindoro Parliament of Youth Leaders (OMPYL) to Oct. 22, 2024, officials announced Sunday.

The extension will provide more young Mindoreños the opportunity to participate in this essential youth engagement program.

The four-day event, scheduled for Nov. 7-10, 2024, is designed to gather young leaders from across the province’s 14 municipalities and one city.

This year’s parliament is organized to amplify youth voices in local governance and policy-making. The event aligns with the province’s commitment to youth empowerment and participatory governance.

Participants will engage in policy-making discussions, legislative simulations, and leadership development activities.
