DILG Urges All LGUs to Use eGovPH App

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced Monday it will launch a nationwide campaign to promote the government’s unified digital services platform, eGovPH.

The awareness initiative, titled “May eGovPH ka na ba?” (Do you have eGovPH already?), will kick off with a coordinated social media campaign on October 10, 2024 at noon across all official government channels.

The platform is designed to streamline citizens’ access to public services through a single mobile application.

Users can store digital versions of crucial identification documents, including national ID, Philippine Retirement Authority ID, OFW ID, and Senior Citizen ID.

Prominent features of the app include access to the Philippine Travel Information System and COVID-19 vaccination records.

Citizens can also use it to pay taxes and fees, apply for permits, and view their PhilHealth and Social Security System contributions.

DILG has directed all provincial governors, city and municipal mayors, barangay officials, and regional directors to support the campaign, which officials say is crucial for modernizing government interactions with the public.

eGovPH app is part of the Philippines’ digital transformation roadmap, consolidating various government services into a single platform accessible via smartphone.
