MAMBURAO, Occidental Mindoro — Incumbent Governor Eduardo “Ed” Gadiano officially filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) on October 2 (Wednesday) for reelection in the 2025 midterm elections.
Gadiano, who is running under the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), submitted his COC at the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) office in Mamburao alongside his running mate, Vice Governor Diana Apigo-Tayag.
“Ngayon pong araw, opisyal ko nang naisumite ang aking Certificate of Candidacy para muling tumakbo bilang inyong Gobernador ng ating Lalawigan ng Occidental Mindoro sa darating na National at Local Election 2025,” Gadiano said in a Facebook statement.
The incumbent governor was accompanied by their slate of candidates for the provincial board in the first district or MAPSA area, including Board Member Ryan Gadiano-Sioson, former Vice Governor Peter Alfaro, Board Members Eddie Masangkay and Cerilio Tejoso Jr., and former Board Member Nestor Tria.
Gadiano noted his team’s commitment to continuing development programs in the province.
“Sama-sama kaming nagsusumikap na itaguyod ang patuloy na pag-asenso at mas maayos na pamumuhay para sa bawat isa sa ating mahal na probinsya,” he said.
The filing of COCs for the 2025 elections began on October 1 and will continue until October 8, 2024.
