Puerto Galera Mayor Rocky D. Ilagan led the inauguration of a new senior citizens building in the town’s Poblacion area on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
The event was also attended by Red Moratin, Chief of Staff of Rep. Rodolfo “Ompong” Ordanes of the Senior Citizens Partylist, which donated the new facility to the people of Puerto Galera.
In his speech, Mayor Ilagan thanked Congressman Ordanes for the new building, which he said would greatly benefit the town’s senior citizens.
He also outlined future plans for the town’s elderly, including a new multi-purpose hall and additional medical services.
Mayor Ilagan also expressed his gratitude to Congressman Arnan Panaligan of the first district of Oriental Mindoro.
The new senior citizens building was blessed by Reverend Father John Bryan Chester H. Delen during the inauguration ceremony.
