The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has placed Occidental Mindoro under a Yellow Warning Level, according to its latest bulletin released at 2:00 AM on Monday (Sept. 2).

The warning covers the towns of Rizal, San Jose, Magsaysay, Lubang, Looc, and Calintaan, as heavy rain is expected, which may result in flooding in low-lying areas and communities near rivers, as well as potential landslides.

Meanwhile, light to moderate with occasional heavy rain (2.5-4.5 with intermittent 7.5-15 liters/square meter per hour) is affecting the towns of Paluan, Abra de Ilog, Mamburao, Santa Cruz, and Sablayan.

These conditions are expected to persist for the next 2 to 3 hours and may impact neighboring areas.

Residents are advised to stay vigilant and prepared for any changes in weather conditions.

The rain brought by Tropical Storm Enteng may cause flooding and landslides, and residents are urged to remain alert and follow the instructions of local authorities.

For further important updates on the weather, residents are advised to follow the PIO Occidental Mindoro Facebook Page.
