The Land Transportation Office (LTO) MIMAROPA Region is set to conduct a public auction of unclaimed impounded motor vehicles on September 19, 2024, officials announced Friday.

The auction, which marks the third bidding attempt for these vehicles, will take place at the LTO MIMAROPA Regional Office Conference Room in San Rafael, Calapan City.

The sale will be conducted on a “as-is, where-is, all must go” basis, according to Jorge Antonio P. Calayo, OIC Assistant Regional Director and Chairman of the Disposal Committee.

A total of 562 unclaimed motor vehicles are up for auction, divided into nine lots across various LTO district offices in the region.

The inventory includes motorcycles, utility vehicles, and a dump truck, with floor prices ranging from P12,300 to P530,628.35 per lot.

Interested bidders can inspect the vehicles from September 13 to 17, 2024, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM at designated locations.

A pre-auction conference is scheduled for September 16 at 2:00 PM to address queries from prospective bidders.

To qualify, bidders must submit government-issued IDs, SEC registration certificates for corporations, DTI registration certificates for sole proprietorships, and valid business or mayor’s permits. Authorized representatives must provide certification from their company’s president or board.

Bids must be submitted by September 19 at 2:00 PM, with a bid bond equivalent to 10% of the total bid amount required.

LTO will only accept cash or cashier’s/manager’s checks payable to the Land Transportation Office MIMAROPA Region.

“This auction presents an opportunity for the public to acquire vehicles at competitive prices while helping clear our impound facilities,” LTO MIMAROPA said. The office noted that all sales are final and vehicles will be sold in their current condition without warranties.

LTO reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any formalities in the bidding process.

Winning bidders must settle the full amount within five calendar days of receiving the notice of award.

The disposal of unclaimed vehicles will declutter LTO facilities and generate revenue for the government.

LTO has called for interested parties to participate in the bidding process, which will be conducted with strict adherence to transparency and fairness principles.

For more information, prospective bidders can contact the LTO MIMAROPA Regional Office or visit their website for complete auction details and vehicle listings.
