PALUAN, Occidental Mindoro: A fire that broke out in the Human Resource Department office of the Paluan municipal hall building has been successfully contained, authorities reported Saturday.
The blaze started at approximately 9:00 pm (Aug. 30), according to witnesses.
Firefighters from the Bureau of Fire Protection-Paluan (BFP-Paluan) promptly responded after receiving an alert from a nearby resident.
Officials confirmed that the fire was extinguished by 10:15 pm, just over an hour after it began.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, authorities said.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
