Congresswoman Ferriol-Saulog Visits Mindoro; To Hold Medical Mission

Congresswoman Irene Kate Ferriol-Saulog of Kalinga Partylist met with Occidental Mindoro Governor Eduardo B. Gadiano at the governor’s office in San Jose, ahead of a medical mission scheduled for Saturday.

The medical mission, a joint project of the Kalinga Partylist and the provincial government, will be held at the San Jose Municipal Gymnasium on Aug 31.

The event will offer free medical services, including check-ups, tooth extractions, eyeglasses, blood sugar monitoring, blood typing, reflex tests, haircuts, and counseling, as well as free medicines and vitamins.

The Grand Medical Mission is a collaborative effort between the Kalinga Partylist, the provincial government of Occidental Mindoro, Maranatha Christian School, Watchers Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Jenela in Japan, DZRH, Voltracom Medical Team, and local governments of San Jose and Rizal.

The company’s entry into news media is not surprising, as its founder and CEO, Romel “Direk” Bernardo, was a television writer, producer, and director for over 15 years. From 2002 to 2007, he served as a researcher, writer, and producer for GMA-7’s top-rating show Imbestigador before becoming the executive producer for ABS-CBN’s award-winning documentary program, The Correspondents.
