Drug Raid in Oriental Mindoro Nets 5 Suspects

Five people were arrested Thursday in an anti-illegal drug operation led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Oriental Mindoro province, authorities said.

The joint operation by PDEA MIMAROPA and the Philippine National Police uncovered an alleged drug den in Barangay San Jose, Bongabong town.

Officials identified the suspects as Manuel Galpo Maniulit, Fernan Ocampo Villanueva, Arvie Delos Santos Eulogio, Ricaredo Gal Silla and Eduardo Manalo Magallanes.

Authorities reported seizing approximately 6.13 grams of suspected methamphetamine, locally known as shabu, with an estimated street value of P20,500, along with drug paraphernalia.

The suspects face potential charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
