BONGABONG, Oriental Mindoro — The municipal mayor of Bongabong and members of the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) made a courtesy visit to the House of Representatives on Wednesday, seeking funding and support for local projects.
Bongabong Mayor Elgin Malaluan led the delegation, which included council members Mike Malaluan and Jayson Barcelona, as well as local government officials Keneth Dimaculangan and John Mark Forcado. They were received by House Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez and several congressmen, including Bonifacio Bosita, Ray Reyes, Michael Romero, and Yedda Marie K. Romualdez.
The visit was intended to strengthen ties between the local government and national legislature, ensuring that the needs and concerns of Bongabong LGU are addressed at the national level.
During the meeting, the LGU officials from Bongabong discussed pressing issues affecting the municipality, including the need for improved infrastructure, expanded health services, and enhanced educational opportunities.
“We are grateful for the support of the House of Representatives and look forward to working together to improve the lives of our constituents,” said Mayor Malaluan.
