Two road projects have been completed in Oriental Mindoro, improving transport links for local residents and farmers, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has announced.
In Naujan town, a 415-meter stretch of road has been concreted in Sitio II, Barangay Aurora.
The P4.94-million project includes new shoulders and slope protection measures to enhance the road’s durability.
Meanwhile, in Bongabong, a 446-meter access road now connects Barangay Anilao to Barangay Masaguisi.
This P4.86-million project features a two-lane road with retaining walls on both sides.
District Engineer Salvador Abad said the improvements would “contribute to economic growth and agricultural productivity” in the province.
DPWH noted that these projects are part of wider government efforts to develop rural infrastructure across the country.
