The provincial government of Oriental Mindoro, led by Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor, honored outstanding Mindoreños who have brought pride to the province in various fields at a ceremony held at the Tamaraw Hall in the provincial capital on Friday, August 2.
Mia Kimberly F. Noche from Bigaan, San Teodoro, was recognized for ranking first in the Civil Service Examination (Sub-Professional), while Dr. Maxene Denielle Trinidad Gonzaga from Pasi, Socorro, received a plaque of recognition and a cash prize of PHP30,000 for ranking second in the June 2024 Licensure Examination for Dentists.
Cash incentives were also awarded to athletes Neil Airo A. Esteron, who won a silver medal in the 200m and 100m elementary boys’ events, Ace Jusyin Serdeña, who won a silver medal in the Taekwondo Category 2, and Nathania Rebekah F. Mindo, who won a bronze medal in the Taekwondo Category 2, Kyurugi, as well as their coaches.
The provincial government also provided PHP1.2 million in financial assistance to schools that partnered with the Capitol in the recent MRAA Meet, which will be used to purchase various equipment for their schools.
Meanwhile, seven barangays received a total of PHP2,585,000 in financial assistance for various projects in their areas, as well as the PNP-SAF and DILG Provincial Office.
In his message, Governor Bonz expressed gratitude to the awardees for their continued support to the province’s initiatives.
“This is a token of appreciation from the provincial government for your continued support to all the initiatives of your Governor, Vice Governor Ejay Falcon, and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan. May our unity continue to serve the province of Oriental Mindoro,” he said.
The ceremony was attended by Board Member Alely Casubuan-Tan, Board Member Fay Ilano-Navarro, SP Executive Assistant Miko Atienza, and Calapan City Councilor Rafael Panaligan, who also expressed their support to the province’s initiatives.
