Due to the overwhelming response to our previous post on the most popular MindoreƱos on Facebook, we received numerous comments pointing out several influential names we missed. We appreciate your feedback and are excited to update the list with your suggestions.

While we recognize that there are other popular personalities on platforms like TikTok and YouTube, please note that this list is limited to Facebook, which remains the most popular platform for Filipinos.

As a bonus for our followers, we’ve also added a short profile of each Facebook influencer.

KA MANGYAN VLOGS – The most popular vlog by a MindoreƱo on social media, Ka Mangyan Vlogs, run by young lass Mercedes Lasac, showcases the simplicity and fun of provincial living. Lasac’s carefree and fun-loving personality has endeared her to almost 8M followers who are glued to Ka Mangyan Vlogs’ farm adventures, food trips, and family life. Her vlog is so popular that big celebrities like Alex Gonzaga and Ivana Alawi have visited and collaborated with the young MindoreƱa for content production.

Ka Mangyan Vlogs, created by the spirited MindoreƱa Mercedes Lasac, has become a social media sensation.

MARVIN FOJAS – Our readers, Amalia Saryaya and Eric Jhun Miciano Sanchez, pointed out that vlogger Marvin Fojas should be no.2 on our list. With a whopping 2.4M followers, Fojas hails from the town of Bongabong and studied at the Regional Science High School for MIMAROPA. Given the popularity of his vlogs, it’s safe to say that this creative and prolific vlogger’s content has generated at least a hundred million views on Facebook. By the way, Fojas is even more popular on TikTok, where he has more than 8M followers!

MINDOREƑANG MANGYAN – Like Mercedes of Ka Mangyan Vlogs, Lyca Mutya Salazar also hails from the town of Socorro, where she features the simple rural life. As a young mom, she inspires her 2.3M followers by coming up with simple and budget-friendly dishes as well as practical household tips that mothers like her can relate to. A former teacher in a private school in Pinamalayan, the MindoreƱang Mangyan once battled anxiety and is now a certified entrepreneur.

Like her townmate Mercedes Lasac, Lyca Mutya Salazar, the young mom behind the MindoreƱang Mangyan, shares the simple rural life from her hometown of Socorro.

NURSE EVEN – Among the social media superstars on the list, many were surprised by the inclusion of nurse vlogger John Steven Dimapilis Soriano. Few netizens are aware that Even’s mother hails from Roxas and is a member of the political Dimapilis clan. In fact, he is a nephew of the beloved late board member Ramil Dimapilis. From costumes to hairpieces down to execution, Even puts effort into engaging and humorous skits to make hospital settings, medical practitioners’ workplaces, and patients’ visits lighter. Nurse vlogger John Steven Dimapilis Soriano, a social media superstar, surprises many with his inclusion on the list. Few netizens know that Evenā€™s mother is from Roxas and belongs to the political Dimapilis clan.

KAREN REYES – The stunning vlogger with 1.5M followers focuses on content that deals with family, motherhood, lifestyle, health, beauty, and wellness. Although she lists Manila as her residence, one netizen informed Mindoro Today that Karen hails from Calapan City. This was confirmed in one of her vlogs highlighting her trip to our province, which she described as her “hometown.”

Karen Reyes, the captivating vlogger with 1.5 million followers, curates engaging content that spans family dynamics, motherhood, lifestyle, health, beauty, and wellness.

GELL TV – Possibly one of the most popular men in uniform in the MIMAROPA region, if not the country, policeman Gell Marasigan, informs motorists, especially riders, on proper driving and road safety. Soft-spoken and personable, he comes across as a kind and relatable law enforcer who patiently explains the law to drivers and riders, especially those who commit traffic violations. The police social media influencer, with 1.4M followers, humanizes the dreaded Highway Patrol Group (HPG) that enforces traffic laws, including driver’s licenses and vehicle registration.

DR. CARL BALITA – A well-respected figure in the education and training industry, Dr. Carl Balita is a true blue MindoreƱo. Hailing from Calapan City, Dr. Balita has made a name for himself by establishing the Dr. Carl Balita Review Center, the largest review center in the country. With 181 branches locally and six abroad, his review centers have helped prepare many graduates who became professional teachers, licensed nurses, midwives, criminologists, and agriculturists. An advocate of tourism developmwnt and people empowerment through entrepreneurship, Dr. Balita built the the Mahalta Resorts and Convention Center in his hometown. He uses the proceeds from his online work and his income from his ukay-ukay business to help those in need. Ken also has a good fashion sense, as evidenced by his unique and colorful outfits. His popularity has led some to encourage the PinamaleƱo to enter public service by running for an elective post in the 2025 elections.

Ken Red, also known as The Good Mangyan, stands out among social media influencers in Pinamalayan. His effective storytelling sheds light on the struggles of our less fortunate kababayan.

MARVIN ALMANON PAGE – This popular vlogger’s page revolves around his own fishpond in Baco, his hometown. He treats his 1.1M followers to an aquatic adventure, from catching seafood such as giant crabs, shrimps, milkfish, and seashells to cooking and eating the abundant seafood. Marvin is also very hospitable, as evidenced by many fellow vloggers who visit him in his fishpond from time to time.

KEYVIN VLOG – The most inspiring of them all, Keyvin Repil of Bongabong proves that physical limitations should not be a hindrance to productivity and success in life, including social media. Most importantly, this vlogger, who has 1.1M followers on Facebook, was able to finish college in the nearby town of Roxas. Keyvin uses the power of social media to encourage everyone to persevere in life despite trials and challenges.

NAPADAAN LANG CHANNEL – Like their Kuya Marvin Almanon, Psalms Bill Jaqueca and Dugong Medina showcase their fishing expeditions and food trips in their tree house in the quaint town of Pola The dynamic duo behind the popular page Napadaan Lang Channel rummages through mangrove forests, walks through murky waters, and ventures into open seas to catch fresh seafood, which they then cook as part of their adventure. With 1.1M followers, Bill and Dugong have their own respective Facebook accounts that have generated tens of thousands of followers and millions of views as well.

EMIE ROSE DIMAALA – This young mother vlogs about her entrepreneurial journey, challenges, and tips as a mini-grocery owner in Calapan City. Her catchy handle, “Pinaka Mayamang Tindera,” hints at her aspirations for her family while inspiring her business-minded followers, now at 1.1M. Her hard work and determination continue to pay off, as evidenced by her earnings from Facebook and the new cafe they recently opened in the city.

EJAY FALCON – The 2008 Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus winner inspired millions with his humility and life story in Bahay ni Kuya. After starring in many teleseryes and films for 13 years, Falcon ran for public office in 2022 as the running mate of Governor Humerlito “Bonz” Dolor and wonvice-governor of Oriental Mindoro. Since his election, his showbiz career has taken a back seat to focus on his political career. Falcon is banking on his popularity and 1M followers on Facebook as he embarks on a more ambitious task in the upcoming 2025 elections: representing the province’s 2nd congressional district. RECHEL IN DUBAI – Mindoro Today first heard the name of this popular vlogger when journalist Anthony “Ka Tunying” Taberna visited this news portal founder’s farm in April this year. Ka Tunying was in Bongabong to interview the 23-year-old beauty queen (she is the 2023 Mutya ng Kasarinlan in Dubai) behind the popular Rechel in Dubai on Facebook. Rechel presents her life as an Overseas Filipino Worker in Dubai, where 750,000 Filipinos work in healthcare, engineering, and the service industry. This MindoreƱa is so popular that she has her own billboard, endorsing a money remittance company.

Anthony ā€œKa Tunyingā€ Taberna, a broadcast journalist, first encountered the popular vlogger Rechel Hoco (known as ā€œRechel in Dubaiā€) during a visit to the Mindoro Today founderā€™s farm.

mhakelTV – There are many households where the dad is the better cook, and that seems to be the case in the home of Michael Pastrana, the man behind the rising vlog mhakelTV. As a former OFW who went home for good, Michael provides solutions to every ordinary parent’s problem of finding no-frills, easy-to-prepare, and budget-friendly viands or ulam for the family. His early foray into vlogging centered on his everyday life, from waking up early to prepare the breakfast and baon of his son, to fetching his child at school. His content resonated because what he prepares, from canned goods and hotdogs to pancit canton, are dishes that ordinary Filipinos can relate to and afford. Moreover, Pastrana epitomizes a hardworking family man who strives to provide for his family. His 718,000 followers appreciate his practical approach to cooking and his dedication to his loved ones.

The company’s entry into news media is not surprising, as its founder and CEO, Romel “Direk” Bernardo, was a television writer, producer, and director for over 15 years. From 2002 to 2007, he served as a researcher, writer, and producer for GMA-7’s top-rating show Imbestigador before becoming the executive producer for ABS-CBN’s award-winning documentary program, The Correspondents.
