LIPA CITY, Batangas – The Rotary Club of Pinamalayan Central has garnered multiple awards for its club management and received citations for various projects in different communities in Pinamalayan and neighboring towns.
The leadership of District 3820 led by Governor William Pastor Delloro, Jr., which administers clubs in Bicol Region, and the provinces of Quezon, Laguna, Batangas and Oriental Mindoro, conferred the RCPC with the “Environment Stewardship Award,” “Outstanding Achievement in Membership Retention,” and included RCPC among the 20 elite clubs that received the highly coveted “Rotary Prestigous Award.”
The grand event, dubbed District Recognition and Awarding Ceremonies (DRAC), were held yesterday, June 15, 2024, at the Aquamarine Events Center in Lipa City, Batangas.
RCPC’s commitment to community service was further recognized through citations for several noteworthy projects: including Cash for Work and Coastal Clean Up; Oplan Wall Fan sa Paaralan; Sports Boost and Motivational Talk at Bansud Youth Center; Narra Tree Planting in Dolores Peak; and for organizing the flower growers of Brgy. Rosario.
Meanwhile, the club’s outgoing president, entrepreneur Romel “Direk” Bernardo, was conferred with Leadership and Service Award and was recognized as one of the district’s “Game Changer” presidents.
The DRAC also paid tribute to long-serving previous leaders who remained active in Rotary works in the last 15 years. The RCPC holds the distinction of having the most number of past presidents in the whole province who qualied for the “Years of Service Awards.” They were Dr. Guillermo “Bobot” Gonzales, Dr. Antonio delos Reyes, Corazon Agarap, Eden Artillaga, Rafaela Galit, Antonio Formalejo, and Ricardito Aquino.
Representing RCPC at the ceremony were nine dedicated Rotarians, including Bernardo, who embodied the spirit of service and excellence that defines the club.
