CALINTAAN, Occidental Mindoro – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in San Jose, in collaboration with the local government of Calintaan, recently conducted a new orientation for the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Mamayan (TUPAD) program, benefiting 111 individuals from seven barangays in Calintaan, Occidental Mindoro.
The orientation was led by Lyz Jeannette D. Sagun, the designated PES Manager of the Municipal Public Employment Service Office (PESO).
Calintaan Mayor Dante C. Esteban, who had personally requested the funds for the program from Senator Bong Go, was also in attendance.
In his address, Mayor Esteban expressed his gratitude to Senator Go and his team for the financial support provided to the town for the implementation of the TUPAD program.
He also thanked DOLE for its continuous efforts in delivering programs aimed at assisting disadvantaged and displaced workers in the community.
Mayor Esteban voiced his expectation that the temporary employment provided by the TUPAD program would significantly aid families and individuals in dire need.
In addition to the program, Senator Go’s office distributed prizes, including sports equipment, t-shirts, vitamins, among other items, to the beneficiaries. (source: LGU Calintaan FB Page)
